The Long Walk 2010

Long Walk in Ireland, 2010
Hi guys and gals, and greetings once again from long-lost me!

I haven't been much in the Forums (Fora?), yet continue to "lurk" out here in Cyberspace,
enjoying my morning DAB and praying with you all! This year, as in 2009, I'll head out
to my ancestral DONEGAL in Ireland to walk with God. And, of course, will keep you posted!

If anyone is debating the idea of setting this day (or a few days) apart to walk with the Lord
in a deeper intimacy than perhaps you have yet experienced, I HEARTILY encourage you to do so.
He blew me away on my first Long Walk, one year ago...

Love in Christ,

OK Guys & Gals, I'm off *tomorrow* already! Need to do the Long Walk a tad earlier this weekend, as I cannot get away from work on the 7th.

Details here in my Blog:

Enjoy your own Long Walks everyone! I will take pictures and look forward to seeing all of yours!

I just went through last years' blog account of Long Walk 2009. I enjoyed the simplicity of the day and the purity of the experience. I pray that I will find the same in my first LW.

I was new to DAB last year and didn't have the time available to go on the long walk. I have taken the day off this year. You won't believe how many things try to creep into the day you set aside for God.

I have a dentist appointment that day and have to go. No other time available due to the way work schedule is set up. Thank goodness it is at the end of the day.

Hi Everybody!

Just back from my "early" Long Walk this year and it was wonderful. Some real "quality time" with Daddy, as He continues to do Deep Work inside of me.

CRAIG, I really hope you do have a special day with the Lord; I'll be praying for you.

And DEBRA, despite the dentist appointment, like you say you can do it beforehand... or perhaps even a day before or after, as I did. I really recommend this intimate time with God. I'll pray about this for you as well!

I'm just now back and have several photos I'd like to share with everyone, but I got up at 5.00 am in Belfast today to fly home, so I'll call it a night. I promise to post more photos and thoughts this week, ok?

Here's a little "appetizer" for you, nonetheless! ;-)

Last year i went on a walk after work... just drove to the beach with my bible in hands and Restored on my iPod. God spoke to me loud and clear - in 3 different messages He confirmed the same thing to me :) So, darling DABers... for those of you who are "too busy" - give Him an hour and see what happens :) The enemy would try to keep you busy with "important" things... but remember, the Lord should always be your #1 priority, because he is the rock we build everything else on :)

Can't wait to read your stories!!!
Blessings,
~Olga

Thanks for your message Olga. I am very busy this week, so thanks for the encouragement to use what little time i have. Please pray for me as i have a lot of stuff going on at the moment, and a lot of stuff i need to give to God, and some big decisions to make. And not much free time to do it in.

Thanks, and hope and pray you all have great 'walks'
Michaela
