Need Encouragement?

Today's reading 1 Chronicles 16:37-18:17
It was wonderful to see God's character displayed so wonderfully through David's eyes and in his life. I first thought it was really nice of David to think of God's house instead of his own, but then God comes in and reminds David (and me) that He doesn't need us to build a house for him. Instead, God builds a house for David (which David is obviously grateful for) and God will send Jesus later to establish His kingdom. It's just a wonderful example of life with God, and it's a great answer to my prayer of wanting to understand what a relationship with God looks like, how to pursue it and wanting to discover and really love who God is. I am very encouraged, and I hope you all are too. =)

Good catch on that point Amanda. Your application is meaningful to me in this current season of life.

Great observations. i was also delighted to hear of Nathan's role today. We named our oldest son Nathan in 1984, and every year I delight in reading more and more about this wonderful prophet.
