Need Encouragement?

worship
I was asking questions this week about hard biblical topics. I came to the realization that so often we, by our pride, assume we have to figure things out with our brains and logic. In frustration I, finally (why not initially I can't explain), asked God to speak about these things. Do you know what he said? Worship. Exactly what I needed to hear. I was out of His will clinging to my own power, operating on my own strength.

So, I ask, as a means of encouragement. What's the most worshipful thing in your life right now? Mine, today is a small glimpse of how unknowable God is and how good a thing that is:

1 Tim 6:15 —God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.

Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no savior.

I hope you will share your worship here. There is nothing more encouraging.

I try to be worshipful in my daily prayer, but for me, worhip in my home church is very special. I look forward to worship in community each week. There was a time, I'd look forward to "taking off a Sunday" in the summer, but I learned that I always felt empty after I missed worship. I studied Reelations this year, and I glimpsed a bit more why worship really is so important. Praise God.

The most worshipful conduit in my life is the intimate knowledge that, regardless of everything going on around me...God is God...He is. He was. He always will be. Regardless of anything swirling around my life...God is far better than any fix. Any drink. Any one. Any win. Anything...God is God.

This week DAB has been traveling through CA...my childhood stomping grounds. All week I have been blown away at the pictures Brian has been posting on Flicker...somehow in the deserts of Southern CA, God found me. He knew where I was. Where I was going. And when I was going to meet Him for the first time. I have been in worship - mode all week...

It's it so cool how worship sets you free. He's all about freedom. 2 cor 3:16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

Lord, you are so amazing. Set us free to worship you!

Ray, I really like your post. So often we try and figure things out and forget the powerful weapon we have is to worship. Such a nice reminder to worship wherever you are. I live in the countryside and when I jog in the mornings I see miles and miles of beauty around me and it is so quite and then it is easy to worship and thank God for everything. But I think when we are going through difficult times we have to force ourself to worship because we know that this will eventually set us free.
Jesus we love you and we worship you..........

time for worship music, this song sounds like what heaven might be like:

"Music in every sound light beyond each cloud
Hope in every dream
Songs like a healing breeze every breath inhale
And the goodness feel"
