Hello friends! I wanted to take a minute to ask for some prayers..and share a praise. I work part time at a local Payless shoe store. Last night a car crashed through the front door of our store. Apparently this person slammed the gas instead of the brake. The ENTIRE car went into the store and took out a couple of displays. Praises- no one was seriously injured. One of my coworkers was at the counter ringing up customers and suffered minor injuries to her legs, but Praise GOD no serious injuries. I personally am praising Him that I was not scheduled to work last night.
Asking for some quick prayers that the store can be fixed and re-opened quickly. As you can probably imagine, this is not the best time of the retail year for something like this to happen. Our big Thanksgiving weekend sale starts tomorrow, and we will be closed until Friday at the earliest. There are several people who depend on this job as their only source of income. The stress level is already high with the big sale, and now we have this added it. Another personal praise...when God knew I needed it most, we got hit with mandatory OT at my full time job. So I will make up for the lost hours in OT money. But others don't have that. Please also pray that we don't suffer any further loss from people who see a theft opportunity- our entire front entrance is gone and has been boarded up.

Update: We will be able to open tomorrow. The store is boarded up and a plywood door was constructed as a temporary entrance. It will be 2 weeks before the glass is replaced, so theft is still a concern. Definitely going to be an interesting few weeks. My coworker who was injured is taking some time off-understandably- and I get to cover her 7 hour shift tomorrow. Gonna be a LONG day. Thanks DAB friends!
