Tell Us About Yourself and What the DAB Means To You

Started mid 2011
Many thanks to Brian for DAB. It is so easy to listen to DAB using my iPhone. I started listening to it after getting baptized in April.
I look forward to listening to DAB everyday in the new year, and also hope to know more people in the DAB community.

Blessing,
John

So nice to meet you, John,

Welcome. We're looking forward to hearing more about you, too! Tell us about how you came to be baptized! I bet there's a story in that... ;-)

Praying with you,

Tom

Welcome John!

Thank you all for your warm welcome.
It has been 17 years since I moved to the US as a student for better education and better life. It was a big change 17 years ago, but the biggest change happened early this year. I entirely dropped Darwinism or the concept of natural selection, and became a Christian. My wife and I got baptized in April, so did our daughter, who was born here and is now 12. Now, Jesus is our master, and the Word of God is a lamp unto our feet and light unto our path.

As a sinner and new Christian, I hope to get encouragements by all means, including from the DAB community. And hope one day I can encourage others too.

Thanks,
John

How exciting! I was babtized at 33yrs old..I am now 39. And have just joined this amazing family. btw my daughter is 12 years old too..my sons r 10 and 7we are in Texas. and my youngest was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Is she on the kids forum yet?I am starting the DAB on my android tomorrow. This is such a welcoming family. We are all part of the Body of Christ, each part as important as the next. Kinda like a fruit salad? each taste different but all so very neccessary to the other. I would love to here more about your wonderful family. Happy New Year, my new friend

You also have a wonderful family. I know it's not easy to take care of you little son with type 1 diabetes. You probablt have to manage his insulin administration, diet, exercise, and glucose levels all the time. May God be with you and your family.

Last night, we listened to DAB together as a whole family for the first time. A good start for the new year. Last year, I pretty muchlistened to it myself, and often skipped it on busy days. We have had our family bible study about 3 times per week since late 2011, but we want to try DAB using the family bible study time in 2012.
Thank you for reminding me the kids forum. I will encourage my daughter to try DAB for kids and to get on kids forum. That way she could spend less time on games or Facebook I hope.
Happy new year!

Its true..but last year when he was diagnosed at 6 I was truelly devestaed. I was reading my bible and all of a sudden a passage I head read several times came to life for me.it no longer was a logos word..I truelly saw with and felt with my spiritual eyes what a rhema word was.." tina my grace will be sufficient for little dj and my strength will be made perfect in djs weekness. I never looked back after that day. I teach a small discipleship class at our church and remind them tha it took 12 men with jesus..to turn this world upside down. As the body of christ we are each one of that 12.have u read the book passages?
