Tell Us About Yourself and What the DAB Means To You

Just about to listen to the December 31st DAB, FIRST TIME THROUGH!
I have made it to the last day of the DAB, from the begining to the end. I am posting and registering as a little hurray for me. I dont know if I will stop by often here at DAB. I feel like sharing my thoughts of what it was like for me.
Brian is preaty intense, no doubt. And his reading is easy to stick with. Although I had to skip his prayers a lot.
I had listened pretty much in the facility of an old school kitchen placed within a church, as a private chef. I was cooking while reading/listening.
I think I have found a relationship with God and Jesus as I never thought I would ever had before. Please picture an onion and the many layers and how the skin is not as useful until you use it as compost,.. and when you go further you find an onion's flesh which makes you cry until you come to know it and see the many applications it has in its use. And as you go further into the enveloping layers of onion, still crying a little at the very core is an seemingly empty spot. I think this small spot within us is where the soal resides and speaks with the spirit of god. I feel god is as small as the tinyest empty spot in our hearts as well as wide and deep as the skys. I personaly think that brian made a good point to let go of the larger picture and trusting in god to develop the life laid out for us. trying hard to keep a focus on the things at hand and pour my effort into what I need to do day to day is, nurtured by the understanding that god has made a life that will be met with at due time, and If I strive to keep my living of life to the best, then I will ultimately be nurturing a place within my heart that god may rest and live within me. Staying open and not hardening my heart but learning compassion and understanding my anger, frustration and sorrow as a part of who I am... (so I am saying to love these parts of yourself and nurture an understanding with these feelings as they are there for a reson and you can benifit from a loving relationship with open arms, just sayin), ... will prove to be priceless as I lean on the word of god and the many blessings that I can expereance throught the blassings of this life laid out before me.
I plan to continue reading parts of the New testament startign withthe oldest book, and with participation in studies at a church or small community near me.
Well maybe ill stop back in at DAB.
Thank you for this very worthwile time, as my first time through the bible. I whole heartedly enjoyed and benifited by the expereance.
Bucket List: check
God Bless, as they say
