Tell Us About Yourself and What the DAB Means To You

Needing prayer
Hi! I'm pretty new to DAB. I love it, and have been seeking a format where the bible is audio for awhile. I was tuned into another, but it about put me to sleep. Brian is not only an excellent reader, but he knows just what to discuss and pray about. I'm truly thankful God lead me to this community. He is continually faithful to me, as I grow in the Word with Him.
My story brief: two years ago today, I found out my (unsaved) husband was having an affair. I fell to pieces. I fell away from God, got involved with someone, committed adultery myself, was convicted of this sin, came crawling back to God, and asked Him to heal my marriage.
It has been the most difficult situation I've ever encountered. At times, I thought I would die because of the sadness and pain. At times, I could barely breathe. I sought God with all my heart. I repented of all my sins. I asked God to come in and change me. My husband and I are still together and God is still working. But, we've seemed to reach a plateau. My husband is still not saved. Sometimes, he will listen to DAB with me, but it goes no further. I've praying for my husbands salvation, but need your prayers my family! Satan is still prowling outside our marriage, and I see him oppressing my husband, us, anytime my guard is down. Pray with me for God to wrap his hedge of protection around our marriage, and for the breakthrough my husband needs to be saved. Pray I receive strength and renewed hope, not get discouraged.
Also, I'm praying for God to give me direction - where does He want me? Am I doing His will? Pray for clarification in this area. Thank you, my family in Christ! Amen.

Laurie we all are sinners and fall short of His Glory but because Jesus loves each one of us unconditionally there is hope for all of us who believe in Him. It is not easy to live with someone who does not believe but God knows each one of your heart. The thing is with the wounds we have caused and which were done to us need healing and only by the power of the Word of God, we can accomplish it.
I pray that you are able to speak and think the Word of God and apply it to your life and this will change you and in turn will change your husband.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will direct your paths.

Proverbs 3, 5-6

God grant Laurie the serenity to accept the things she cannot change;
courage to change the things she can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Heal them from the inside out and fill their darkness with your light.
