Tell Us About Yourself and What the DAB Means To You

Been Listening Since June 2011
Thank you, Brian and the DAB Family for being here. My name is Deb and I have been listening since 2011 June. My family and I have been in our new location for about a year now, but still don't feel settled into a church home, but it does not mean we aren't trying. We are like many today who have lost a home and business and have had to make many changes. My husband is working for a good company and we are so grateful for his job that the Lord found for him, but his pay is like that of 20 years ago. I am working as a substitute teacher in my local school district and have been working almost every day. I also work a 12 step program. I have very little free time, especially since we live close to family. I am also an artist who is taking classes to keep up my skills. javascript:void(0) I feel very overwhelmed right now and feel as if I can't hold myself together emotionally. It has meant much to me to have DAB family, since it seems to take so much time to "break in" to a new church and feel a part of. Please pray that the Lord will help me emotionally...true friend that He is...many times I feel stranded...even though I know he is near. Pray for true friends for me and my husband especially, who struggles when I struggle. We also have a daughter who is 16 and very active in her Christian High School. She also is bothered when I struggle emotionally.javascript:void(0)

Hi Deb. I just logged on tonight for the first time. Your story touched my heart. I can relate to having struggles where you are completely dependant on the Lord just to get you through another day. I got sick with a painful Nerve Disorder and was abandoned by my christian friends. When I couldn't reach out to them any more, the phone went silent. Even asking them to call or visit me sometimes yelded only empty promises. I can't serve in my church any more (can hardly walk now) and living with an unbelieving husband who unfortunately causes me much emotional pain (he doesn't mean to - he's just lost). Anyway, through it all, God has been loving and faithful and is the glue that holds me together and has been blessing me in many ways too. God led me to church on-line with a LIVE service called lifechurch.tv and they have great worship too! He led me to others on-line too and of course this site tonight as well.

(BTW - I also have a daughter - she's 17)

Anyway darlin, just so you know that there are many of us out there who, through our trials, challenges and isolation, God is connecting. Because we all share the same heart now don't we? HIS!

I have already prayed for you and your family and I know that God will come through for you. He always does. He'll never leave us nor forsake us will He?

Sending you blessings and love. Oh and hugs (you gotta have those too)

T xo
