Tell Us About Yourself and What the DAB Means To You

Semi-New from Texas... To the Web-Site, That Is...
I just wanted to say "hello" to the DAB-ers. I've been a listener for, I think it's two if not three years now (sad how I can't remember that) and listen almost every day. I came across the DAB just the way Brian always mentions it in his mid-month plug about how people search for it and I found it on iTunes. I find the DAB very inspiring and I have yet so much to learn. The Bible stories are becoming very familiar to me now and it seems like when I hear them, I think to myself, "...has a whole year gone by already?" I enjoy listening because I'm just not much of a reader and I get to listen during my "windshield time" which is nearly every day. I also do pay attention to the prayers at the end and pray for each and every one out there. If you're like me, you just don't have a large social circle and sometimes the prayers are in and of themselves grounding when you hear someone who you can identify with. I've really come to understand that I NEED something like the DAB in my every day life and I struggle with so much in this world, namely the separation between the physical and the spiritual. One thing that Brian tends to repeat on the program is just the fact that we're faced with so many distractions in this world, it's very hard to keep focused on God and Christ and the Bible when you tend to be easily distracted just like I am; that's the theme I can identify with the most. I'm very thankful to have come across the DAB and I can't imagine being without it now. For all those who struggle with maybe not huge issues in life, but a lot of little ones (like myself), or if it's the other way around, just keep listening and you will notice a difference in your life. It's when I don't get the chance to listen because I'm distracted that I tend to fall again. I pray for you all in your times of need and times of joy. Take care... DJ

Great introduction and some very real points that I certainly can emphasize with. Such as, if I allow lifes little distractions to take priority over my listening to the daily broadcast that I tend to fall as well. Nice meeting you DJ!
