New to DAB

I am new to DAB. I was brought here after the girl I love and I broke up after 2 weeks of fighting (we were together for 4 months). I took a lot of time self evaluating myself I decided that I needed to become a better person and get closer to GOD. I tried to find a bible in my house to read but I couldn't find one. I went to read it online but I didn't get to far reading it by myself. Then I stumbled upon DAB and now I subscribe to the daily readings and listen to the audio parts of the bible for everyday. I am a baseball player who is looking to get closer to GOD, better myself, and when the time is right get back together with that girl who I love when the time is right.

Alex, I am also new to committing to the Daily Audio Bible readings though I have lerked over the passed number of years. I for one am glad that you have found the DAB site and I do know that there are always people raying for the needs of others here. You have definately come to the right place to grow closer to God and I will pray that if it be His will you will get back together with the girl you love. Just remember that God knows what you need and if you trust Him fully, He will not let you down.

Thank you for your prayers Wendy. I realized that what I want might not be what God intends for me. So even if things don't work out, I know that there is something and someone special in the future for me.

Thank you. I would like to update the post. We are no longer together. As it turned out, she was already seeing another guy before we broke up. I have gotten through this about as smoothly as I could be (which wasn't very smooth at all) thanks to God. I am sad yet excited to move on and see what God has in store for me.

I will stick to daily audio bible because it is bringing me closer to God and its making me a better person. God jas a bigger plan for me and I can't wait to see what it is.
