The bullies seem to always win . . .
Phil Robertson of the reality show Duck Dynasty was recently interviewed by GQ Magazine and said some things about gays that were considered to be "hateful". As a result, he has been indefinitely suspended from the show. http://www.cnn.com/2013/12/19/showbiz/duck-dynasty-suspension/

I am so tired of the bullies always winning. It seems like whenever something is perceived as "anti-gay", the retribution is swift and harsh. I don't feel like I have the tools to fight back. If I yell, they yell louder. If I scream, they scream louder. I get routinely out-talked, out-yelled, and out-screamed, and if I try to explain what I believe, and someone pushes back, I end up thinking, "uh-uh-uh-uh".

I know we Christians win in the end, but it may take years for us to achieve that final victory. Constantly losing is really hurting my morale.

Tina I understand how you feel and this is the time when you just have to shine the light of Jesus. You have to walk the talk ..
Praying

You know, I have been hearing this same thing on Facebook for 2 days. And the thing is, this isn't a loss. The Bible says that we should count it as JOY when we are persecuted! So it really only is 'a loss' if you are putting your stake in this world. We are in this world, but not of it. God is still on His throne, irregardless of how unfair the world seems! I know there are a lot of Christians crying 'foul' right now, but God isn't! He doesn't need us to defend Him and certainly boycotting a TV Network isn't doing anything to further the kingdom of God. We need to be on our knees praying, every day, for our country. I wish that every Christian who has taken the time to post a bazillion posts a day about this issue would spend as much time praying about it. Pray for the president of A&E, pray for the board! Pray that they receive a touch from God! God is capable of doing so much more than we can think or believe and if we truly believe this, we don't have to fret or try to fight these battles in the flesh...We are here to love others, be a light to the world, and bring people to Jesus.
